Liberton Drive
The brief for this project was to extend the home and reconnect it with the mature garden. A significant level change between the house and garden formed both the challenge and the opportunity.

The design introduces two pitched volumes at the rear of the house that step down towards the garden. Internally, the floorplan steps in the main kitchen living dining, defining zones without the need for walls. Full-height glazing and flush thresholds invite the garden into the home while a set of angled concrete steps leads you naturally from inside to outside.
The roof pitches bring volume and light deep into the plan, supported by large rooflights and carefully placed windows. Externally, a mix of vertical and horizontal timber cladding helps break up the massing while unifying the form.
The result is a calm, considered crafted extension that respects its neighbours and gives the family a bright, flexible space to live and grow.
