Studio & Practice Manager
Konishi Gaffney is seeking a Studio & Practice Manager to support the next phase of our development following recent competition wins
Our studio works on a mix of design led cultural and residential projects for private clients. As workload grows, we need consistent operational structure so the design team can focus on architecture, client relationships and project delivery.
This role focuses on practice coordination, financial planning, business development and the day to day running of the studio. The position involves working closely with the director to establish systems, maintain oversight of projects and support our small design team. The role sits at the centre of a small studio and offers real visibility over how projects and the practice are run.
Core responsibilities include invoicing, fee tracking, cashflow oversight and resource planning. The role also includes managing award submissions, regular social media updates, website management, presentation preparation and supporting clients and collaborators. A range of writing skills will be required, from project descriptions to fee proposals and future Substack content.
We are looking for someone organised, proactive and comfortable improving how things work. Clear written communication and an interest in architecture, art and design matter.
The role may suit someone with organisational experience in architecture or professional services, or a design literate graduate seeking a stable part time role alongside childcare or other commitments. The key requirement is ownership of processes and clear communication. The right person is more important to us than a specific background or skillset.
The position is offered initially on a three day per week basis, with flexibility as the role develops. Salary is £30,000 to £40,000 full time equivalent depending on experience, with scope for the role to grow.
We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and, if the role interests you but you are unsure you meet every requirement, we would still like to hear from you.
Please apply here with a short CV and note about your background:
