The most interesting thing about this flat was its size: 35m2 is smaller than the average studio flat in Tokyo! The brief was to rearrange the accommodation to provide, well, more space.
The main elements of the design were a new kitchen, making the galley double as the entrance area; a raised sleeping area with storage below; and to compact the bathroom to make space for a utility / drying space
